Data Deletion.

Last updated 15 October 2026

Overview

You can remove EditTree's access to your social media accounts, and ask us to delete the information we hold, at any time. This page covers connected social media accounts and website enquiries. For how we use data in the first place, read our Privacy Policy.

Step 1: Remove EditTree's access

Revoking access on the platform stops us from reading or posting to the account straight away. Do it in the settings of each platform:

  • Facebook and Instagram: open Business Integrations, find the EditTree app and choose Remove.
  • Google and YouTube: open Third-party access, select EditTree and remove its access.
  • LinkedIn: open Permitted services and remove EditTree.
  • X: open Connected apps and revoke access for EditTree.
  • Reddit: the list of authorised apps is at the bottom of reddit.com/prefs/apps.
  • Pinterest and TikTok: open your account settings, find the list of connected or authorised apps, and remove EditTree.

Step 2: Ask us to delete what we hold

Revoking access does not erase what we have already stored. To have it deleted, email [email protected] with the subject "Data deletion request" and tell us:

  • the platform, and the name or link of the account
  • the email address you use with us

We will confirm that you control the account, then permanently delete the access tokens, account details, scheduled posts and uploaded media linked to it within 30 days, and email you when it is done.

What we may keep

We may keep records we are legally required to retain, such as invoices and tax records, for the period the law requires. We do not keep social media access tokens or profile details after deletion.

Website enquiries

If you contacted us through our website or booked a call, send the same email and tell us which details to delete.
