Introduction
At EditTree, accessible from edittree.in, we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers our website and the tools we use to publish content to social media accounts.
Information We Collect
From our website. Your name, email address, phone number and any message you send when you contact us, book a call or subscribe to our services.
Technical information. Details such as your browser, device and the pages you visit, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
How We Use Your Information
We use collected data to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain our website
- Improve and personalize your experience
- Communicate with you directly or via newsletters
- Understand and analyze usage trends and preferences
- Enhance security and prevent fraud
Social Media Accounts We Connect
EditTree uses its own publishing tool to schedule and publish content to social media accounts owned by EditTree. When an account is connected, the account holder signs in on the platform's own page and approves what we can access. We never see or store account passwords.
Platforms we may connect: Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Pinterest, TikTok and Reddit.
What we receive. Depending on the platform, this can include the account's name, username and profile picture, the list of Pages or channels the connected person manages, and statistics about posts published through the tool, such as views and likes. This information comes from each platform's official API.
What we do with it. We use it only to publish content we have scheduled, to show how our posts perform, and to keep the connection working. It is visible only to authorised EditTree team members. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, use it to train AI models, or share it with anyone other than the cloud hosting provider that runs the tool.
How we store it. Access tokens, account details and the media we upload are kept in a private database and file storage on cloud infrastructure that EditTree controls (hosted on Railway). Access is limited to authorised EditTree staff. Tokens are kept only while the connection is active.
Google user data and YouTube
EditTree's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We use YouTube API Services to upload and schedule videos to YouTube channels we own and to read basic channel details. By connecting a YouTube channel you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke EditTree's access to your data at any time on the Google security settings page.
Data Protection
We implement security measures to protect your personal information and limit access to the people who need it. However, please note that no internet transmission method is 100% secure.
Sharing Your Personal Information
We do not sell, trade, or rent personal identification information to others. We may share information with trusted third parties who assist us in website operations or service delivery, such as hosting providers, provided they agree to keep information confidential.
Retention and Deletion
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as the law requires, for example for invoices and tax records. Social media access tokens and account details are deleted when an account is disconnected, and on request within 30 days. To ask for deletion, or to remove EditTree's access yourself, follow the steps on our Data Deletion page.
